“I Don’t Have The Experience to do what I want to do. I couldn’t possibly start a business doing it. There are SO many others doing what I want to do. How could I possibly catch up to everyone else, let alone COMPETE?”

Oh, yeah—I know THAT one! Believe me, it’s one I’ve said to myself SO many times….I don’t have enough experience to get started with this crazy dream of mine. I’m not “qualified”. Not like everybody else out there. Seems like there’s always someone who is doing exactly what you want to do and is out there doing it better, faster, smarter….so why even try?

It’s an especially easy trap to fall into these days, what with the 24/7 highlight reel called Social Media that never goes away. All there, all the time, serious stimulus overload.

Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. Not for you OR for anyone else. Because guess what? You ARE enough to get started. You are enough right now. No matter where anyone else is along the road, wherever you are right now is perfect. You ARE qualified. You know what qualifies you to get started? Your passion. Simple as that. That’s ALL you need to start.

After that, you can get as much experience as you like! The key is to start GETTING it.

SO let’s start right here: What is it that you LOVE to do? You know, that thing that you’re dying to make into what it is you do every day? You can start with it today. Right NOW, even.

How did I get started? Here’s a few things that got me going……

—Know what you want to do? (Even a little bit?) Research it. Google it. Learn as much as you can about it. Make it part of your world
—Reach out to industry leaders, to potential colleagues, to those who are out there doing it for themselves—get some feedback and advice (and I bet that a good number of them would be flattered that you asked!)
—Think of ways that you could put YOUR personal touch on your products, services, and offerings, and get creating! (This is the fun part!) What would your dream offerings be?
—Reach out to friends, family, or acquaintances who seem like they might be your kind of client/customer. Talk to them. Let them know what you’re up do and see if they might be willing to help you by being interviewed or even being your “guinea pig”

SO many more, but these are just a few! I bet you can think of a LOT more, too….why not try brainstorming a few of your own? I would love to see what you’d add to the list of possibilities!

Speaking of possibilities…..are you ready to consider all the ones that could happen for YOU? The 5-Day Ditch The Cubicle Challenge starts on February 22nd, 2016! Find out ALL about it right HERE….and if you already know you’re IN, sign up HERE. Can’t wait to see you there!

Glad that you appreciated it! Just one step at a time, but keep taking them. One a day, every day. 😉
